Welcome to my blog…to my life. I’m a California girl…born and raised here…spent a few years in Colorado, but California holds my roots. I’m a child of God and blessed to know Jesus…his grace and love are priceless to me. I’m a daughter and sister, wife and mother…three times each out of three of these. I’ve experienced young widowhood, divorce and true kindred spirit love. I’m a friend, an open book and a truth seeker. I create without following recipes or reading music...I thoughtfully and creatively photograph images that speak to my heart…and hope to yours. So, come share my life through the eye of a camera lens. I will show you pieces of what I see, tell you stories about them and often write a prayer along the way.
Blessings to you,
Patti

Antsy Mc Clain and The Trailer Park Troubadours {Sacramento Photographer, Grass Valley Photographer}

Last weekend Johnny and I had such fun going to Grass Valley to photograph an event that the Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Coalition put on. They had Antsy McClain and The Trailer Park Troubadours with them for a fund raiser. The band was wonderful! Johnny had heard of them before, but I had not. What a fun band! If you ever have a chance to see them they are very upbeat and funny. Here are a few shots from the evening!

A Wedding Affair For all Seasons-Bridal Fair

What a fun time I had with my friend Dori at the bridal fair at Miners Foundry in Nevada City a week and a half ago! Here are a couple of photos that two other photographers sent me from that day. Thanks to Melanie of Essence Photography and Lydia of Lydia Photography!

Maternity Session

Over the past year I have had the pleasure of photographing this lovely family many times. We started with the maternity photo shoots and have had many "watch me grow" sessions as well. Over the next little while I will be posting photos for you to see how their beautiful daughter has grown. "Lord, thank you for this wonderful family that you have placed in my path. Bless them as they raise their precious little one and bring many years of joy and love into their family...Amen"

Johnsons at Empire Mine

I posted a couple of photos of this family a while back, but found this Blog Board that I wanted to try and realized that I had quite a few more photos of this lovely family that I wanted to post. So enjoy a bit of "fall" here in the middle of winter!

Grass Valley Christmas Photos

This darling family asked me to come to their home this past November to take some photos for their Christmas gifts. The photos of this little girl turned out to be a gift to me! I just LOVE them! There is a third shot of this darling little one that they purchased to go in a frame as a set. These kind of expressions and memories will last a lifetime for this young family. There is a photo here of their special nephew as well. Just the sweetest group to work with! "Lord bring joy and peace to these young families as they raise their precious children...Amen"

Christmas Day

It was a wonderful evening with my dear family...here are a couple of photos from our special Christmas dinner. Per tradition we serve a prime rib and Johnny cooked it perfectly...as always! After we stuffed ourselves, we opened a few family gifts and had a lovely music recital that my nieces put on. We are blessed!

Lindsay and Friends

So, Lindsay is home from college for the Christmas break. Yeah! I love having her home…spoken like a true mother I know.  Tonight she had three of her closest friends over to spend the night and bake cookies. (You can't believe the amount of giggles are coming from my kitchen!)They let me bring out my camera and have some of my own fun! So darling! They are about the nicest group of girls that I could hope my daughter to be friends with. God is so good and full of blessings. “Thank you Jesus for the amazing daughter that you have blessed me with and thank you Lord for giving her such darling and special friends…Amen”.

Kelly and Eric's Wedding Day

The day could not have been more perfect! Eric and Kelly had chosen a beautiful fall afternoon to be married at one of the most charming venues that I have ever photographed a wedding. ..The Flower Farm…just the perfect spot for a wedding and even the start of the honeymoon! You might remember this couple from last year’s engagement session at Lake Tahoe. I am so very happy for them as they now become a family. Eric is such a fun loving and enjoyable guy and Kelly is sweet and quietly beautiful. We first met Kelly at her mother’s darling restaurant in Grass Valley called Charlie’s. When Johnny and I were first dating, we would go in and have breakfast and just love the time together with the "cowboy" environment and delicious food. Eric was the cook and Kelly our server! Eric who is quite a chef had his special recipe's made for their reception and they were oh so yummy! Many years of love and happiness are wished for you Kelly and Eric…hugs to you both!
